How Positively Sage™ Works for Account Holders

Welcome

This page explains how Positively Sage™ services operate in practice and what account holders can expect when purchasing services. It forms part of the binding agreement between you and Positively Sage™ and is incorporated by reference into our Terms & Conditions.

 

By purchasing, scheduling, or participating in services, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agreed to both this document and the Positively Sage™ Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. If there is any conflict between this document and the Terms & Conditions, the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy will govern.

 

Our Services

Positively Sage™ offers two distinct services:

 

My Friend Called

One-on-one phone or video companionship calls designed to foster connection, routine, and uplifting conversation.

 

Sage Reflections

A guided storytelling service that preserves personal stories through recorded conversations and curated keepsakes.

 

Each service operates independently and has its own billing and cancellation terms.

 

Scheduling & Attendance Policy

This Scheduling & Attendance Policy applies to all My Friend Called subscriptions.

 

Scheduled Call Times

Participants enrolled in My Friend Called are assigned a consistent, standing call time (or times) based on their selected plan. Calls are scheduled in advance to support reliability, continuity, and companion availability.

 

Once confirmed, the scheduled call time remains the same from week to week unless a change is requested and approved.

 

Starting a New Subscription

To allow time for thoughtful companion matching and completion of required consent forms, the first call typically begins within one (1) week of signup. This onboarding period is included within the paid billing cycle.

 

Call Length & Format

  • Calls are offered in 30-minute sessions

  • Calls may take place by phone or video, based on participant preference

  • All calls must be scheduled in advance

 

Rescheduling a Call

Participants may reschedule one (1) call per billing cycle, provided that:

  • The request is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled call time, and

  • The rescheduled call occurs within the same billing cycle, subject to companion availability

 

Requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice cannot be accommodated.

 

Missed Calls

If a participant is unavailable at the scheduled start time, the call is treated as a completed session for that billing cycle. Companions remain available for the full appointment window, and missed calls cannot be carried over, credited, or refunded.

 

Late Arrivals

If a participant joins a call late, the call will still end at the originally scheduled end time to respect companion schedules and subsequent appointments.

 

Changes to Ongoing Schedules

If a standing call time no longer feels like a good fit, account holders may request a schedule change. We will do our best to accommodate requests based on availability, but changes are not guaranteed.

 

Billing & Payments

 

Billing Structure

My Friend Called subscription plans are billed monthly through our payment processor. For service delivery purposes, each billing cycle represents a four-week service period and includes a defined number of scheduled calls based on the plan selected:

  • Once per week → 4 calls per billing cycle

  • Twice per week → 8 calls per billing cycle

  • Three times per week → 12 calls per billing cycle

 

This structure applies regardless of calendar month length.

 

Billing Start & Renewal

  • Payment is processed at signup

  • The first call typically begins within one week of signup

  • Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis. Each billing cycle covers a four-week service period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the next renewal date.

 

Receipts are sent to the account holder’s email on file. If a payment cannot be processed, the account may be placed on hold until payment is successfully completed.

 

Call Allocation & Expiration

Calls are scheduled and delivered within the applicable billing cycle. Calls do not roll over or accumulate beyond the billing cycle in which they are scheduled. Unused calls are forfeited unless otherwise expressly stated in writing by Positively Sage™.

 

Cancellations & Discontinuation

My Friend Called

First-Time Clients

  • Cancel within 48 hours of purchase for a full refund, provided no calls have been used

  • If at least one call has occurred, standard cancellation terms apply

 

Renewing Clients

  • Cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing date

  • If more than one (1) hour of unused time remains and no calls are scheduled within the next 24 hours, a 20% administrative fee will be deducted

  • If a call is scheduled within the next 24 hours, the value of that call will also be deducted

 

Transfer Option

  • Clients with two (2) or more unused hours may transfer remaining time to one person per year

  • Written request required at least five (5) business days before the next scheduled call

  • Requests with less notice may not be accommodated

 

Sage Reflections

Sage Reflections is a custom service. Once the first planning session has occurred, payments are non-refundable. If canceled before the planning session, a refund less a 15% administrative and planning fee will be issued.

 

Call Recording

Calls may be recorded for quality assurance, training, safety, and service accuracy. Recording occurs only with the participant’s explicit consent, as documented in the Participant Consent Form. Any public use of audio, video, or written materials requires separate, explicit written permission from both the participant and the account holder.

 

My Friend Called and Sage Reflections are separate services; recording practices and permissions differ and are always explained in advance.

 

Not Therapy or Medical Care

Positively Sage™ is a non-medical, non-clinical service focused on social connection and emotional well-being. Our services do not provide therapy, counseling, medical advice, crisis intervention, or emergency support. While many participants find our services comforting and meaningful, we do not guarantee emotional outcomes, mood improvement, reduced loneliness, or personal transformation.

 

Participants experiencing distress or requiring medical attention should seek assistance from a licensed healthcare or mental health professional. We are not able to support individuals experiencing significant memory loss, confusion, or cognitive decline.

 

Health & Safety Notice

Positively Sage™ does not actively monitor participants for safety, health, or overall wellbeing. Our services are limited to scheduled conversations focused on companionship and connection.

 

If, during a call, we become aware of information that is voluntarily shared or observed and appears to involve a concern related to safety, wellness, or medical wellbeing, Positively Sage™ may, at its discretion, contact the account holder or emergency services for wellbeing purposes only.

 

Positively Sage™ does not provide urgent or emergency response and should not be relied upon for crisis intervention or medical care.

 

Caregiver & Family Access

When a caregiver, adult child, or third party purchases services, they are considered the account holder for billing purposes. They do not automatically receive access to personal data or call content.

 

By default, we share only:

  • Appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations

  • Basic usage summaries (e.g., completed or missed calls)

  • Billing receipts or invoices

 

We do not share:

  • Call content or emotional summaries

  • Recordings, photos, or stories

  • Health, emotional, or personal details

 

With the participant’s consent, we may share warm, non-clinical updates such as general well-being impressions, conversation themes, or gentle connection highlights. Consent may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

 

Participant privacy preferences always take precedence over account holder access, except where disclosure is required by law or necessary for safety purposes.

 

Service Refusal or Discontinuation

Positively Sage™ reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service for safety concerns, inappropriate conduct, misuse of services, or failure to comply with policies. Refund decisions follow the applicable cancellation policy.

 

This policy exists to protect participants, companions, and the integrity of our warm, respectful community.

 

Data Retention & Security

We retain personal data only as long as needed for service delivery, legal obligations, or operational purposes. Positively Sage™ uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards.

 

Account holders are responsible for protecting their account credentials.

Privacy Practices (Service-Specific)

In addition to the practices described in our Privacy Policy, Positively Sage™ applies the following service-specific privacy practices:

 

  • Conversations are treated as private and confidential within our organization.

  • Call recordings, when enabled, are used only for quality assurance, training, safety, and service accuracy.

  • Recordings and internal service notes are accessible only to authorized Positively Sage™ personnel.

  • We do not sell or publicly share call content, recordings, or personal stories.

  • Any use of anonymized excerpts, soundbites, or materials for training, education, or marketing requires separate, explicit written consent from both the account holder and the participant.

 

Detailed information about how personal data is collected, used, stored, and protected is described in our Privacy Policy, which governs in the event of any inconsistency.

 

Communication Preferences

You may opt in or out of newsletters, reminders, and promotional emails at any time by updating your account preferences or contacting us.
